STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
It has been centuries since classicists like Newton offered concepts that altered our knowledge of the natural world, and the study of Physics continues to open up new worlds to this day. Since elementary school, I’ve been fascinated by the topic of physics because it can explain various phenomena experienced in everyday life. This passion inspired me to pursue additional education and study in the discipline, with the hope of one day working as a researcher. My passion for the subject has grown with each passing year of my life as I went on a mission to study every facet of this interesting subject in depth. And in order to accomplish this, I wish to pursue my PhD from your esteemed university.
Paving my way into the field of Physics, I pursued my Bachelor of Science Hons. in Physics, wherein I explored subjects like Mechanics, Mathematics, Electromagnetic Theory, Thermal Physics, and many more. Even after completing my undergrad, I continued to feel the urge to dig deeper into the field, which motivated me to pursue my Master of Science in Theoretical Physics. Steering through my master’s, I worked on a project based on the General Theory of Relativity. The project was titled: Calculating Ricci Curvature Tensor and Ricci Scalar for the Traversable Wormhole and was supervised by (Name). Using the Morris and Thorne metric, I derived the mathematical formulae for the Ricci Curvature Tensor (R00, R11, R22, & R33) and Ricci Scalar (R) for the traversable Wormhole. Working on this insightful project helped leverage my technical acumen and broadened my horizon. It also ingrained in me communication, observation, research, critical thinking, brainstorming, and problem-solving skills. Having accomplished so much in life, I felt like I had already passed several milestones. Hence, I decided to pass on the knowledge that I had acquired so far. My urge to teach the concepts and theories understood by me drove me to pursue a Bachelor of Education in Physics and Mathematics. I believe that one can not evolve at the stake of the upcoming generations without considering the lagging world and can only learn better when in the company of other learned men and women.
